Reza Ardabili has an impressive and varied professional background. He began his journey with a degree in agricultural sciences, which he completed in Iran. But his curiosity and drive for personal development led him to retrain as an IT specialist, opening an entirely new professional chapter.
Karl Louis brought Reza Ardabili into the Heinrich Köhler auction house. Reza first worked on Karl Louis’ renowned Great Britain card-index archive, but thanks to his versatile talents and strong commitment, he quickly took on additional responsibilities and soon became an indispensable member of our team. Today, he handles — among other tasks — the extensive photography required for the online catalogue and the scanning of documents in preparation for the auctions. He is also an important part of the viewing team and ensures fast and seamless shipping of lots after the auction.
When scanning and examining philatelic items, Reza Ardabili often finds himself mentally traveling back in time. It is a feeling and experience that many philatelists can undoubtedly relate to. Reza considers this a great enrichment of his work, combining his technical expertise with his love of history in the best possible way.
