Maxime Citerne comes from Bourgueil, a small village on the Loire in France. Before philately became his profession, he spent many years working in the medical field and continues to teach relaxation techniques for patients suffering from migraines and headaches. His studies in Chinese pharmacology in Paris, Beijing, and London under renowned professors broadened his horizons and deepened his understanding of different cultures and people — not only in a medical context.
At the Heinrich Köhler auction house, Maxime works as a philatelic expert, contributing his extensive knowledge and passion for worldwide classical philately. He is a BPP examiner for classic Russian stamps — a field that has fascinated him since his youth.
