André Schneider

Head of Marketing

When you hold one of our catalogues in your hands, you can be certain that one person at the Heinrich Köhler auction house was always significantly involved in its production: André Schneider, our Head of Marketing. Before philately drew him into our industry, he initially pursued a different path. Driven by his passion for sports, he went to the Netherlands to study International Leisure Management.

After completing his studies, he went on to organize major running events. In 2011, however, his career path also led him into the world of philately — he began working at an international stamp auction house. In 2015, André Schneider met the shareholders of the Global Philatelic Network, Karl Louis and Dieter Michelson. Shortly thereafter, in early 2016, André came to Wiesbaden, taking on the role of Head of Marketing for the Global Philatelic Network. Since then, he has coordinated all cross-company marketing activities.

In doing so, André Schneider can rely on the expertise of his colleagues and a broad network of copywriters, designers, and agencies. This still leaves time for his hobbies — the marathon runner also enjoys pursuing philately in his free time. His philatelic interest lies primarily in the Old German State of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, a collecting area that helps him maintain his connection to his northern German roots.

For many years, he has also served as treasurer of a philatelic youth association. Additional responsibilities within the Working Group Mecklenburg, including designing the newsletter, soon followed. No surprise there!
