Ingo Gerhold combines professional expertise with personal dedication and serves as the technology specialist of the Global Philatelic Network. His professional journey began in the early 1990s, when he successfully completed his training as an industrial clerk. This was followed by ten years in which he gained valuable experience in both internal and external sales, continuously refining his communication skills and analytical abilities.
Philately was practically handed to him at birth — his father was an avid philatelist and introduced Ingo to an auctioneer in northern Germany at an early age. This early exposure to the world of stamp auctions laid the foundation for his professional path today. Over more than two decades, he specialized in the production of philatelic auction catalogues and in IT consulting for philatelic auction houses. This work requires not only deep knowledge but also a high degree of precision and technical expertise.
His understanding of philately, combined with his excellent IT skills, made him a sought-after expert in the industry. It was therefore a major gain for the Global Philatelic Network (GPN) to bring Ingo Gerhold on board in 2022 as the Head of IT for the holding company.
